We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team, responsible for the operations, maintenance, and continuous development of our Azure-based cloud application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and software development practices, and will play a critical role in enhancing our deployment processes and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee the operations and monitoring of our Azure cloud services, ensuring high availability and performance of our application.
- Continuous Development: Lead the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, testing, and integration processes.
- Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and system architects to ensure alignment on development and deployment practices.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance optimization strategies for cloud deployments to enhance application responsiveness and user experience.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud architecture to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards in close collaboration with the cyber defense department..
- Monitoring and Logging: Maintain and enhance the current monitoring and logging solutions to provide insights into application performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and standards for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a DevOps role, with a focus on cloud-based applications and Azure environments.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Storage.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights) and logging frameworks.
- Solid understanding of networking, security concepts, and best practices in a cloud environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
